I am cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats between 25 May and 14 June. I am doing the whole route by myself - but different people are joining me for parts of it. I am raising funds for Recyke y'bike - a charity based in Newcastle which was set up to deal with the problem of unwanted bicycles going to landfill whilst people on low incomes had no source of good quality, safe-to-ride second- hand bikes. Bikes are rennovated and then returned for use in the community - both in Newcastle and in Africa. Any money that I raise will be used to finance the transport of bikes to Africa. It will also assist with their other charitable aims of providing training and a safe and worthwhile activity for vulnerable people on Tyneside such as refugees and people with health problems.
